HighEdWeb 2022 Accessibility Summit is this week

The HighEdWeb Accessibility Summit is coming up soon – this Thursday, July 28.

This all-day event is packed with presentations, quick poster sessions and even a trivia competition. Our incredible sponsors, Dubbot (platinum), Equalize Digital (platinum), Localist (gold), Monsido (gold) and Terminalfour (gold) make this day possible, so please make sure to stop in and chat with them when you have a moment.

The HighEdWeb Vimeo channel includes great summary videos from some of our presenters to inspire you to register and join us on July 28. There are three different tracks in this year’s summit: accessible academia, leadership through policies and initiatives, and web accessibility and best practices. You’ll learn about the back end of accessible web content to the front end, and everything in between.

Derek Jackson of Harvard University is headlining the summit with a keynote presentation, “The Forest Through the Accessibility Tree.” Derek works in Harvard’s Digital Accessibility Services as a digital accessibility developer. The Accessibility Tree is an important structure that allows assistive technology to interact with browsers. Understanding this structure is key to delivering accessible content in a more deliberate and inclusive way.

Register today to join us on July 28, shop for summit merchandise and use #A11ySummit to follow and share about the conference on social media.
