We don’t need to remind you that life is a little bit strange right now. You’ve probably written the phrase “uncertain times” in dozens of Facebook posts and other communications in the last few weeks. All of us at HighEdWeb know that our community members are taking crisis communications to a whole new level, and there’s a little less “great content” on social media nowadays.
So, we wanted to change that. We asked our community – who is your #HEWebHero? And our community delivered! Here’s some of the well-deserved shoutouts we received. Think someone should be nominated? Bring some good to your Twitter feed and use #HEWebHero to recognize someone who deserves it!
Here's one: @Erinsupinka, who in the middle of dealing with life on her own campus, reached out to share her expertise on something late last week. A true force of nature. #HEWebHero

A shoutout to @andrewbcassel, who, in the midst of all the work he’s doing on campus, took the time to send words of support and comfort to the other #heweb folks in the trenches across the world, at a time when we desperately need to hear them.

I want to give a shout out to fellow Arkansas #HESM all-stars @RachelRodemann, @CarrieHPhillips, and @meaghanfikes. Who are working hard to keep their students safe and informed!
Once we are done social distancing we all are going to have to get together for happy hour #HEWebHero https://t.co/c3gLp2JyzE— Jon-Stephen Stansel (@jsstansel) March 16, 2020
It’s thank a #HEWebHero Day! The #EMchat and #hesm community here on Twitter gives me daily inspiration, but also reminds me to take two giant steps back. The crisis does not become us. Thank you @BeccaIsEditing for impeccable texts of love and support (and, of course, cat pics).
