Groundbreaking WordPress survey for higher ed

A NOTE from HighEdWeb: Recently, in service to our core mission “to advance web professionals, technologies and standards in higher education,” HighEdWeb has entered into a partnership with WPCampus, a community dedicated to the use of WordPress in higher ed (more on that partnership soon!). We’re excited to share the below message from our friends at WPCampus, and hope you’ll lend them a hand by taking the survey, below.

WPCampus has opened a survey to learn how the educational community uses WordPress and manages website development.

wp-surveyOur goal is to aggregate a useful dataset for anyone using or considering using WordPress in an educational setting, and we’d love to get your input. More feedback + more perspectives = valuable insights for the WordPress and higher ed community.
The survey has a unique format: participants can opt to answer any or all of five sections, so you can choose which questions you feel qualified to answer. The sections include:

  • How Do You Use WordPress on Campus
  • Site Demographics, Traffic and Data
  • Plugins, Themes and Features
  • Security, Performance and Hosting
  • Your Team Structure and Workflows

Most respondents complete the survey in 5 to 10 minutes.

Thank you for your time. Participants who complete at least four of the survey sections will receive their choice of a $5 Starbucks or Amazon gift card. You’ll also be entered to win a free ticket to this year’s WPCampus conference.

Perhaps the biggest benefit to those of you who love analytics: just for participating, you’ll receive a copy of the anonymized, aggregated data – a wealth of information about how the community is using WordPress.

Our goal is to share information and support.

Our inaugural conference begins July 15 at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. Our two-day lineup of speakers covers a variety of topics, from security to content strategy, workflows to development tips. We welcome anyone with an interest in higher education and WordPress to join us!
